Introduction Services Examples Pricing

So you think you need a website?

Well, you're probably right! Of course we're going to say that - we believe in our quality products and services. Whether you're a local one-person operation or an expanding international corporation, website and internet services can assist you in managing, marketing and growing your business.

Web sites can range from an interactive online brochure to a dynamic sales and marketing tool. The internet allows people access to your product or services who may otherwise never have heard of you.

Case in point: I recently designed and developed a small web site for a local Stanwood, WA Equestrian (Horse) facility (greater Seattle region). Sally Collins of Collinswoodfarm.com wanted to design an online brochure-type website. Now her website is used by students and competitors to download entry forms and view show results. She also has a sales link which advertises horses for sale. In just a few short months twenty, that's right - over 20 NEW people each day - are looking at her website (that's more than 600 NEW contacts per month!) Sally is thrilled with this effective and relatively inexpensive form of promotion.

"Now I refer potential clients to my website where they can see what I currently am offering for sale and have many of their questions answered. The website has increased the effectiveness of traditional print advertising - our website is now listed on everything we print! Visual Accents Design was flexible to work with and fully committed to our project."

A well-designed website can be an important marketing tool for almost every business, but there are a few exceptions. If you have as many customers as your business can handle and you have no desire to grow larger, then there's no point in marketing on the Internet. But that is not the case for most businesses!

Companies trying to reach customers in different locations (think hotels, airlines or tourist attractions) or who have products that can be shipped to customers far away (think flowers, handmade furniture, etc.) obviously need to have an online presence. But local businesses (dry cleaners or massage therapists, for example) can also benefit from a website that shows their location, lists their pricing, services or offers special promotions.

Those who think they don't need a compelling website because they serve other businesses rather than retail consumers - think again. Many businesses search for new suppliers online - and order from them that way, too.

In short, if you want more customers, you should be online, regardless of your industry.

Top 7 reasons to Get on the Web:

1. Easy to Remember
Some people like to memorize phone numbers - but a catchy web address is all a potential customer needs to remember to find information about your business.

2. Easy to Update
Your website can give potential customers as much information as you desire. It is current, up-to-the-minute, and you can include pictures, web advertising banners, interactive maps, coupons, and personal messages.

3. Cost-Effective
It's less expensive to update a website than it is to update brochures or print media. To maintain your website is a fraction of the cost of a tiny advertisement in the Yellow Pages (compare your local directory pricing).

4. Customer Convenience
A website is for your customer's convenience. They can explore your website in their own time frame. They no longer have to drive to your place of business to see what you are talking about. Your "store" is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

5. Saves You Valuable Time
As Sally Collins mentioned, she often refers client's to her site to assist in answering their questions - sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words!

6. Build Loyal Customers
A satisfied customer can easily check a website to see what's new and look for sales or promotions. Include information on new products/services/pricing and useful tips or descriptions. Your customers will return again and again if you add a personal touch.

7. Huge Potential Market
People anywhere in the world can find your business with a search engine on the Internet, visit your website, and become a customer. You are no longer limited to customers within driving distance. The Internet is attracting more and more consumers every day. Imagine moving your storefront to a location that had 50 million or more in walk-by traffic everyday, what are the chances you would get more customers?
